Daniel is a founding partner of Mahanusa. Immediately prior to Mahanusa, Daniel worked as a Vice President for Southeast Asia for iAsiaWorks Co., a Nasdaq listed technology company. Previously he was a Vice President in the investment banking division of JP Morgan, responsible for marketing and executing Mergers & Acquisition activities in Southeast Asia. Prior to that, Daniel was an Associate in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch in Singapore. Clients he has served include Cycle & Carriage (Singapore), Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, UPM Kymmene, the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency, APRIL Group, Rashid Hussain Bank, DMCI and many others. Before that he was a Brand Manager for Procter & Gamble in the U.S. and Indonesia.

Daniel co-chairs the Investment Committee of Mahanusa and sets the strategic direction of Mahanusa’s direct investment activities. He also originates and executes the transactions. Daniel is also actively involved in managing the investee companies, sitting on the Boards of all of Mahanusa’s investee companies

Daniel currently also serves as a Board Member of PT Cabot Indonesia (a subsidiary of US-based Cabot Corporation, the world’s largest maker of carbon black) and PT Besland Petiwi (a Salim Group company, operating one of the country’s largest industrial estates). In addition, he is also a commissioner of PT Yupi Indo Jelly Gum and and PT Pacific Place and a director of PT Sumalindo Mitra Resindo (a joint venture company with PT Sumalindo Lestari Jaya, Tbk.

Daniel holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BBA from the University of Iowa. He is the current President of the Harvard Club of Indonesia and a member of the Young Presidents Organization.
